The Carson Valley Inn Mixed Scramble
Returns to Its Beginnings

The Carson Valley Inn Mixed Scramble started in the mid 1980s at the Carson Valley Golf Course. With an ownership change for the better, and many improvements over the years, we are going back for the 2009 Mixed Scramble. The cool rush of the Carson River, the natural shade of century-old cottonwood trees and an excellent philosophy of service give this course a unique character that fits the "Mixed" to a tee! Among the improvements made in the recent years:

• All course bunkers have been rebuilt and new bunkers have been added at holes 3, 5 and 13.

• New tees on holes 6, 10 and 14.

• Fairway widening and improvements on holes 5, 6, 9 and 14.

• Remodeled greens complex and approach at 2 green.

• New pump system and irrigation improvements.

• The addition of family tees throughout the course (see the yellow and green tees on the current scorecard). These are for kids, beginners, ability handicapping during tournaments.

• Voted Carson Valley's favorite golf course annually since 2002 in the Best of the Record Courier polls.
